Drums course
Groove, coordination, rhythm reading and styles, with lessons on an acoustic kit.
The course
The drum course starts from the groove: you play from the very first lesson. Coordination, hand and foot technique, rhythm reading and the study of styles are built up gradually on real songs.
Who it is for
For those who have never picked up a pair of sticks and for those already playing in a band who want more control, dynamics and vocabulary.
What you will learn
- Grip, rudiments and sound control
- Coordination and independence
- Rhythm reading and fundamental grooves
- Styles: rock, pop, funk, jazz, latin
- Playing with a metronome and with other musicians
How it works
One-to-one lessons of 45 or 60 minutes, once a week. The programme is personalised: each lesson alternates technique, applied theory and repertoire chosen together. During the year students can take part in ensemble workshops, the end-of-year recital and sessions in the school's recording studio.
