Piano course
From the classical method to pop and jazz: technique, reading, harmony and accompaniment.
The course
The piano is the most complete instrument for understanding music. The course combines technique and reading with a repertoire chosen together with the student: classical, pop, film scores, jazz.
Who it is for
For those who want to learn to read and play an instrument from scratch, those who have studied before and want to start again, and songwriters and singers who want to accompany themselves.
What you will learn
- Posture, technique and hand independence
- Reading sheet music and chord charts
- Practical harmony: chords, progressions and voicings
- Accompanying singing
- Classical and modern repertoire
How it works
One-to-one lessons of 45 or 60 minutes, once a week. The programme is personalised: each lesson alternates technique, applied theory and repertoire chosen together. During the year students can take part in ensemble workshops, the end-of-year recital and sessions in the school's recording studio.
