The course
Parole e Musica, words and music: songwriting is in the school's name. The course teaches you to turn an idea into a complete song, working on lyrics, melody, harmony and structure, with feedback on every song you write.
Who it is for
For those who already write and want a method, singers and instrumentalists who want to compose their own pieces, and those with ideas in a drawer who don't know where to start.
What you will learn
- Song structure: verse, chorus, bridge
- Lyric writing: imagery, metre, rhyme
- Melody and harmony serving the lyrics
- Co-writing and rewriting
- Recording a demo in the school studio
How it works
One-to-one lessons of 45 or 60 minutes, once a week. The programme is personalised: each lesson alternates technique, applied theory and repertoire chosen together. During the year students can take part in ensemble workshops, the end-of-year recital and sessions in the school's recording studio.
