Violin course
Technique, intonation and classical and modern repertoire, for children and adults.
The course
The violin requires method and patience, but it is hugely rewarding. The course guides the student step by step: posture, bowing, intonation and a repertoire ranging from classical to folk and pop.
Who it is for
For children from age 5 with a playful, gradual path, and for teenagers and adults who want to take up the instrument or return to it.
What you will learn
- Posture, set-up and bowing
- Intonation and ear training
- Reading sheet music
- Classical, folk and modern repertoire
- Ensemble playing
How it works
One-to-one lessons of 45 or 60 minutes, once a week. The programme is personalised: each lesson alternates technique, applied theory and repertoire chosen together. During the year students can take part in ensemble workshops, the end-of-year recital and sessions in the school's recording studio.
