Giovanni Todisco
Giovanni Todisco, born in 1988, lives in Milan and is a musician and educator specialising in percussion and drums. His work combines extensive international live performance experience with teaching the instrument from beginner to advanced level.
He holds an advanced diploma in percussion from the "Nino Rota" Conservatory and studied drums with, among others, Gary Chaffee in Boston. He has released over twelve records between personal projects and studio and live collaborations with TRRMA', La Confraternita del Purgatorio, Giungla, Godugong, Ghali, Valentina Magaletti, Enea Pascal, Lumen, Grecale, Makai, Babau, Alos?, Uochi Toki, Galea, Zibba, Charlemagne Palestine, Jamaaladeen Tacuma and Tatsuya Yoshida.
His extensive live experience, with hundreds of concerts across Europe and Japan, combined with advanced training, has shaped his teaching method: study as a tool to bring out the artistic character of each individual student. He has taught drums in one-to-one lessons since 2010 and, since the 2022 academic year, has held the chair of music education and percussion at a lower secondary school.
